Decietful Dessert

Neo, famously known as the best sushi place in Doha; it’s a must to have those yummy rolls only on their dedicated Sushi Night which happens every Tuesday.  It certainly deserves the ten star reviews it gets from everyone.

After being stuffed with seaweed wrapped assortments, you must await a rotund delight that they will serve at the end of a meal with compliments. A small and square glass dish, see-through and slightly greenish, with a hollowed middle that is perfectly shaped to hold this mini powdered parcel of happiness. As it is placed in front of you, it will sit there innocently and seemingly guiltless. Do not be fooled.

We pick it up; gently of course because it is ever so delicate, slowly lifting it as we gaze at how the light touches its curves softly, our eyes sparkle awaiting that burst of pleasure as we gracefully place it on excited taste buds. It melts, cold and warm all at once, and… wait… can’t speak…. mouth full… so sticky…

Only a second ago it seemed deceivingly petite, and so you cannot help but feel stuck with a mouth stuffed with dense powdery creamy cocoa, rolling on your tongue and stuck between your teeth.
